Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" Now Exists in a Booty-Free Version

What would Meghan Trainor's song "All About That Bass" be without its constant references to booty?  It'd be the same song, with different lyrics...and it's now an actual thing. Billboard reports that an edited version of Meghan's #1 hit has been produced for those radio stations who might be uncomfortable with the more racy lyrics of the original track.  For example, in the edited version, instead of "Yeah, my mama, she told me, 'Don't worry about your size' / She says, 'Boys like a little more booty to hold at night,'"  Meghan now sings, "She says, 'Boys like the girls…

Gwen Stefani to Debut New Single on "The Voice"

Sure, The Voice offers a chance for undiscovered talent to get major exposure, but it also offers a chance for the show's coaches to push their latest projects.  Case in point: Gwen Stefani.  Gwen's manager tells Billboard that the No Doubt frontwoman will select what will be the lead track from her forthcoming solo album -- her first in eight years -- and she'll perform that tune on The Voice later this season.  Gwen is currently working on the album in Miami with her fellow coach Pharrell Williams. However, according to Billboard associate chart director Gary Trust, that song's already…

Kelly Clarkson's First Hit was Neil Patrick Harris' Wedding Song

Kelly Clarkson's first hit, "A Moment Like This," provided a special moment at Neil Patrick Harris' recent wedding. As the actor recounted Monday night on The Late Show with David Letterman, his pal Elton John performed at his wedding to David Burtka in Italy earlier this month, but it wasn't Elton who played the song the couple had their first dance to.   "He introduced our first dance, which was super-fun," said Harris.  "And our first dance was....do you know Kelly Clarkson's 'A Moment like This?'"  "Oh, do I!" Letterman replied, getting a huge laugh. Harris then continued, "We loved American…

One Direction Accused of Musical Plagiarism, Again

Ever since One Direction has been on the radio, they've faced accusations by critics that many of their hits sound like songs by other artists.  Now, a fellow artist -- Hayley Williams of Paramore -- is calling them out over their brand-new single, "Steal My Girl." First, you may recall that 1D's hit "What Makes You Beautiful" has often been criticized for sound like "Summer Nights" from Grease; "Best Song Ever" has been compared to "Baba O'Riley," by The Who; and "Live While We're Young" recalls "Should I Stay or Should I Go," by The Clash.  Oh, and let's not…

When your favorite band puts out a greatest hits record, it's annoying to be expected to purchase the same songs you already have again, right?  Well, Maroon 5 feels your pain: not only do they plan on charging less for their future best-of, but they think it's cool if fans decide not to pay for any of their music, period.
