The designer of Katy Perry’s Moschino Met Gala dress, Jeremy Scott, has reportedly filed a motion to dismiss a copyright infringement lawsuit against him.
Jeremy is being sued by street artist Joseph Tierney, also known as Rime, who claims the designer stole images of his Detroit mural “Vandal Eyes” for the graffiti-covered Met Gala gown worn by Katy. But according to the New York Post’s Page Six, Jeremy claims he had nothing to do with selecting that particular graffiti design. He says that the graffiti images “were selected and created by a graphic artist…and completely independently of me.”
