It turns out Meghan Trainor does have a desire to vote.
In an interview with the latest issue of Billboard, the singer declared, "I've never voted and I don't have any desire to."
She's since seemingly changed her tune, claiming to Entertainment Tonight her comments were taken out of context.
"I wanted to learn more about both parties and it's one of the biggest elections of all time," Meghan told the entertainment news program. "It's such a big deal and I figured it out, and I am ready. I'm ready to vote."
Meghan may have dropped a hint as to…
No more hiding behind Scandinavian pseudonyms for Taylor Swift: she's changed the songwriting credit on her ex-boyfriend's latest hit to her own name.
As previously reported, Taylor co-wrote "This Is What You Came For," Calvin Harris' hit collaboration with Rihanna, under the name "Nils Sjöberg." But now, as Billboard points out, the official website for artists' rights organization BMI, which handles Taylor's music publishing, lists her as the co-writer under her own name. This doesn't really change anything, other than the fact that it shows Taylor clearly now wants credit where credit is due.
After the news broke last week…
It looks like the force is with Zayn Malik.
The singer recently got a tiny tattoo on his middle finger in honor of Star Wars. Malik's new ink is a lightsaber that actually glows blue under UV lights.
Malik's longtime tattoo artist, Jon Boy, showed off the new ink on his Instagram page.
According to another photo posted on the social network, it appears Malik, 23, was accompanied by his girlfriend Gigi Hadid's brother, model Anwar Hadid, to get his new ink.
It's not the first time Malik's ink has created headlines. Back in March, he got a temporary tattoo…

How deep is Calvin Harris and Tinashe's love? For now, it's casual, according to Page Six.
The Scottish DJ and R&B singer-songwriter have reportedly been on a few dates, including a recent one in Malibu at the popular Japanese-Peruvian restaurant, Nobu. "They have been seeing each other on the DL. It's only been weeks, so it's still pretty casual right now," Page Six reports.
The pair started a business relationship in 2014, with Tinashe featured on the Calvin Harris track, "Dollar Signs."
Harris recently made headlines after he and Taylor Swift called it quits in June. The record producer then wrote a damning series of tweets, criticizing his ex…
In the words of Marvin Berry, listen to this! Coldplay invited actor Michael J. Fox on stage Sunday night during their show at MetLife Stadium to play Chuck Berry's signature hit "Johnny B. Goode." You can watch fan-shot footage of the performance now on YouTube.
Fox, of course, famously rocked "Johnny B. Goode" as Marty McFly in the 1985 film Back to the Future. In introducing Fox to the stage, Coldplay's Chris Martin referred to Back to the Future as the "best movie of all time."
Coldplay and Fox, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, also jammed together on the doo-wop…
Ed Sheeran took a break from his break on Sunday to surprise fans at the Latitude Festival in England.
The singer, who’s been on a self-imposed hiatus from performing, joined his pal Foy Vance at the event in his home county of Suffolk. The two sang a duet of Foy’s 2013 song “Guiding Light,” a song Ed previously has covered at his own concerts.
Foy also happens to be signed to Ed’s Gingerbread Man Records.
Ed might soon be coming out of hiatus for more than just one song. He’s hinted his third album will be out this fall.

Sorry, Beliebers, Justin Bieber doesn't want your gifts. At least he doesn't want them thrown on stage.
The singer, who is currently on his Purpose World Tour, said as much at his Friday-night tour stop in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
"Take this moment to listen and try not to give me a hat or whatever you're trying to throw onto the stage right now," Justin said, according to a video taken by a fan, "because I probably don't want that s***."

Demi Lovato has bounced back from her split from Wilmer Valderrama, albeit briefly, it seems.
A report from Us Weekly claims Demi is "hooking up" with 30-year-old mixed martial arts fighter Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, who trains at the same place she does, though the publication's source says the singer, 23, is "just having fun."
A People magazine insider paints a slightly different picture, declaring, "They had a quick fling but it's over now."
It's probably difficult for Demi to have a serious relationship right now, since she's on tour with Nick Jonas.
Demi and Wilmer announced in early June that…
