Maroon 5 to headline Pendleton Whisky Music Fest

Maroon 5 has added another festival appearance to their concert schedule. The band will headline the second annual Pendleton Whisky Music Fest, also known as Party in Pendleton. It takes place July 15 at the Pendleton Round-Up Stadium in Pendleton, Oregon.  Tickets go on sale this Friday. Lea Michele planning intimate North American tour in May

Lea Michele is taking her new music on the road. The singer and Scream Queens star has announced that she’ll be kicking off a series of Intimate Evening shows in North America this spring. The shows will begin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 1, and hit cities including Boston, Toronto and Seattle, before wrapping in San Francisco on May 10. George Michael died of natural causes, says coroner

George Michael died of natural causes, according to a British coroner. The singer, who was found dead Christmas Day of last year at age 53, "died of natural causes -- dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver," according to Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, England. Cardiomyopathy is essentially weakened heart muscle, with dilated being its most common form, according to WebMD.  Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle. Clean Bandit can thank Sean Paul for "transforming" their hit "Rockabye"

The Chainsmokers are in good company: they've just managed a chart feat that has only previously been attained by The Beatles and The Bee Gees. In the UK, Ed Sheeran's new album poised for biggest debut since Adele's "25"

Ed Sheeran's album sales in his home country are shaping up to be of Adele-like proportions. Britain's Official Charts Company says that based on sales of Ed's new album ÷ (Divide) so far, he could sell more than 500,000 copies by the end of the week.  That would give him the biggest opening week for an album since Adele's 25, which sold more than 800,000 copes in the U.K. when it was released in the fall of 2015. Adele to be named Artist of the Year by Music Business Association

We already know that Adele rules the music business, but now it's official.  Billboard reports that the Music Business Association will name the singer its artist of the year at its upcoming conference.
