Report: Dr. Luke Nixes Kesha’s "Billboard" Music Awards Performance

It seems Kesha won’t be making a statement about Dr. Luke at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. TMZ reports that the producer made a statement of his own -- by squashing her performance plans. Apparently a rep for Dick Clark Productions -- which is producing the awards show -- told TMZ that Dr. Luke’s label, Kemosabe Records, was unable to reach an agreement with Kesha allowing her to take the stage. TMZ first reported that the singer was going to reference her legal battle during the Billboard performance. Copyright © 2016, ABC Radio. All rights reserved.

Bruno Mars Plays Wedding Singer on Season Finale of "Jane the Virgin"

Bruno Mars was a surprise wedding singer on last night’s season finale of The CW's Jane the Virgin. The singer popped up at Jane’s wedding reception and debuted his romantic ballad, “Rest of My Life.” Bruno played himself for the cameo role, which makes sense because on the show, Jane’s father is a famous telenovela star with celebrity connections. Britney Spears and Kesha also guest starred this season. After the episode, star Gina Rodriguez tweeted a thank you to Bruno “for coming to our wedding.” As for the song he sang, Bruno reportedly wrote the tune years ago, but never…

Kesha’s Lawyers Want to Move Forward with California Lawsuit Against Dr. Luke

Kesha’s legal team wants to move ahead with the California lawsuit against Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Back in June of last year, a California judge ruled to put the 2014 lawsuit on hold, citing a record contract provision that requires legal disputes be handled in New York, rather than California. Several of Kesha’s claims have already been shut down in her New York suit against the producer. Kesha’s attorneys announced Monday that they would be attempting to get the hold lifted on her claims in L.A. County Superior Court. "We intend to file a motion…

January 21, Mickey was busted outside an East Village bar for allegedly passing a vial of cocaine to James Gubelmann, the ex-boyfriend of Ivanka Trump. But Mickey’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, claims the musician never actually touched the drugs. The lawyer says Gubelmann had the cocaine in his hand and police arrested both…
