Ed Sheeran Dodges "Thinking Out Loud" Lawsuit for the Time Being

Forget about "Thinking Out Loud"...Ed Sheeran is probably "Thanking Out Loud" -- thanking God, that is -- that he's off the hook for the moment in a lawsuit surrounding his hit song. The Wrap reports that late last week, a federal judge dismissed a complaint initially filed in August by the heirs of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote "Let's Get It On," the 1973 classic hit by Marvin Gaye.  The suit claimed that "Thinking Out Loud" "copied the 'heart'" of "Let's Get It On." The judge dismissed the complaint, not because it was without merit, which would have been the best…

Lady Gaga Flies into Super Bowl 51 for Flashy Halftime Show; Announces Joanne World Tour After

Lady Gaga literally dropped in on Super Bowl VI -- jumping from the roof of NRG Stadium suspended by wires, delivering on her promise of a show that was both full of of "love and compassion and kindness," and was also "tremendously athletic."  The show began with Gaga atop the stadium, singing a few lines of "God Bless America" and "This Land Is Your Land," before reciting the last line from the Pledge of Allegiance, "one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all."  That's when she literally took the plunge, head-first, diving into the stadium where she was…

A History of Super Bowl Halftime Performances

The Super Bowl halftime show normally features the biggest names in music, and this year, it certainly has one in Lady Gaga.  In fact, the NFL claims that she's the first artist who's ever gone from singing the national anthem at the game to performing at halftime the very next year. The Super Bowl was last held in Houston in 2004, the year Janet Jackson's notorious "wardrobe malfunction" scandal led the NFL to turn to "safe" classic rock acts as halftime performers.  In addition to the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, we also saw The Who, U2 and…

Carson Kressley Weighs In on Gaga's Super Bowl Fashion Plans

Lady Gaga's Super Bowl performance will include a number of costume changes, but are we going to see crazy, over-the-top Gaga of the past, or the more toned down Gaga we've seen lately? One fashion expert predicts we'll get the best of both worlds from the singer. Fashion expert, author and reality star Carson Kressley tells ABC Radio, "I think it's gonna be a combination of both [looks]. I don't think it's gonna be as kooky as it was when she first hit the scene, but I think it'll be ramped up more than her Joanne album look...the pastel pink…
