Is Lorde releasing new music this week?

Will new music from Lorde finally arrive this week? It appears so, if a commercial aired in the musician's native New Zealand is to be believed. The commercial in question, which was captured on YouTube, shows Lorde sitting in the back of a car while what seems like new music plays in the background. The screen then flashes two dates in two locations: March 2 in New York City and March 3 in New Zealand. It would make sense if Lorde's new single dropped this week: she's been working on her sophomore album, the follow-up to 2013's Pure Heroine, and…

Ruth B Doesn't Want Your "Superficial Love"

Ruth B, the Canadian singer/songwriter who was discovered on Vine and scored a hit last year with "Lost Boy," is back with a brand-new single called "Superficial Love." The song, which will appear on Ruth's in-progress debut album, has her telling the person she's dating that she wants something that goes deeper than just physical attraction.  "If you wanna keep me, then you better treat me/like a damn princess/make that an empress," she sings. "'Cause I'm so done/not being your number one/this superficial love." Ruth's debut album, which is due out later this year, was produced by Joel Little, the…

Adam Levine credits "The Voice" for "awesome" friendships with other stars

If you think famous singers spend lots of time hanging out with each another and binging on Netflix, you're wrong.  According to Adam Levine, musicians don't really pal around, but he's an exception...thanks to The Voice. "I don't think that a lot of musicians are friends. I think that we all have our own things going on...and it's really hard to know your peers in this world that we're in," he says. "But what's so cool about The Voice is, I've gotten to meet all of these amazing people and forge friendships with them. It's so awesome to feel there's…

Gwen Stefani's ready for an "exchange of love" -- but not with Blake

"I am no longer a newbie. I am here for the third time. I can't believe it.  I'm so unbelievably excited," says the No Doubt singer.  "I'm just ready. I'm so awake, I'm so inspired, I'm…

Lionel Richie's biggest album is called Can't Slow Down, but he's finally found something that has slowed him down: knee surgery. The new season of The Voice kicks off on Monday and to get fans excited, the four coaches -- Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys -- have posted a video in which they perform an acoustic version of TLC's classic "Waterfalls."  In the clip, the coaches are sitting around in a circle, along with a guitar player and a drummer.  Each one takes a line from the first verse on the song, starting with Gwen, then Alicia, then Adam and then Blake.  Then they all sing the chorus.  Then it's straight to the rap portion: Alicia starts…

John Mayer loves "The Bachelor," but doesn't want to be "The Bachelor"

John Mayer is a big fan of ABC's The Bachelor, but he even though he's one of the most eligible bachelors in showbiz, he says he wouldn't consider being on the show himself. Appearing on Friday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, John discussed his love of the show, but complained that it takes too much time to watch.  "I'll pay 50 dollars if you just show me the entire season in 30 minutes," he cracked. "Get me the helicopters, girls crying, girls crying on helicopters...if you get tears in flight on The Bachelor, that's prime stuff!" When Ellen asked…

Jason Derulo gets naughty with Nicki on new single "Swalla"

Earlier this week, Jason Derulo co-hosted ABC's Live with Kelly, and now he's dropped his new single "Swalla," featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.  The lyric video also is out, and it's pretty racy.  Not only do the lyrics contain profanity, but the images are very sexual in nature, with a bare-chested Jason being groped by various half-naked women, and salacious close-ups of women's glitter-coated lips.  "Swalla" is slang for "swallow," and in the song, Jason invites "all you girls in here/if you're feeling thirsty" to "c'mon, take a sip/cause you know what I'm servin'." The chorus then goes,…
