Walk the Moon returns with new single "One Foot," new album with "bigger, epic sound"

First, the bad news: Nicholas Petricca, the lead singer of Walk the Moon, has broken up with the woman who inspired their smash hit, "Shut Up and Dance."  Now, the good news: Billboard reports that the band will release a new single in September, followed by a new album in October. Last year, Walk the Moon canceled their summer tour so Nick could care for his sick dad, who passed away in February.  Nick was also recovering from his split with Miss "Shut Up and Dance," whom he calls "the love of my life."  On top of that, the band…

Halsey hits back at fan that criticizes "Playboy" photo shoot; covers "Billboard" with Charli XCX

Halsey isn't about to sit back and let you question her feminism. She took one Instagram commenter to task for criticizing her Playboy magazine photo shoot. “You are a feminist but you flash your boobs in Playboy magazine,” the person wrote on her Instagram page, along with a confused face emoji.Halsey responded, “Yeah it’s crazy. I can show my t*** in Playboy, perform at the Nobel Peace, speak at the Planned Parenthood Gala with Hillary Clinton, shake my a** on 300 stages, give a speech at the United Nations, do 150 shots of tequila, get a #1 album, and march…

What's a year in the life of Lady Gaga like?  You'll find out September 22 when Netflix premieres a new documentary titled Gaga: Five Foot Two. Watch now: Katy Perry drops full, star-studded "Swish Swish" video

As promised when she teased it Monday, Katy Perry has released the video for her latest single, “Swish Swish.” The video’s presented as a slapstick basketball showdown between The Sheep and The Tigers, with Katy “Kobe” Perry as The Tigers' star player, even though she’s not exactly a pro on the court.  Even an infusion of “Kobe Sweat” halfway through the game can’t help Katy’s game.  It’s not until Nicki Minaj and her dance crew arrives two-thirds of the way through to rap a break and tell Katy to “get it together” that she leads the Tigers to victory. The…

Will Taylor Swift keep "Despacito" from setting all-time #1 record?

Swifties everywhere are beside themselves with joy at the news their queen is releasing a new single this week.  But one person who may not be too excited is Luis Fonsi.  As Billboard speculates, Taylor Swift's new single may rob his song, "Despacito," of the chance to set an all-time record. Because Taylor's new single arrives midnight Friday, it will have one full week of sales before it debuts on the Hot 100 on September 5.  Given Taylor's previous track record, that means the song is very likely to enter the chart at #1.   And that's "Despacito's" problem. If…

One Republic's loving their current tour: "It's kinda like summer camp for adults"

OneRepublic has gone on a lot of tours over the past 10 years, but they say their current Honda Civic summer tour, featuring James Arthur and Fitz and the Tantrums, is their favorite.  Why?  Because of the camaraderie, the food and the fun. "I mean, we've had a lot of great moments, grilling backstage and hanging out," singer Ryan Tedder tells ABC Radio. "Yeah, it's the best group of people that we've ever toured with," adds guitarist Drew Brown. "Just the fact that it's summer, the fact that we've got our families with us on and off throughout the tour,…

DNCE is apparently the go-to band when it comes to collaborating with British stars of the '70s and '80s. Fresh from backing British singer Bonnie Tyler on a rendition of her #1 '80s classic "Total Eclipse of the Heart" during Monday's eclipse, the "Cake by the Ocean" group is now teaming up with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart on a remake of one of his signature hits. Rod and DNCE have "re-imagined" the British singer's 1979 disco hit "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy."  The song is due out on Friday, and Rod and DNCE will perform it…
