Walk the Moon Offers to Buy Ed Sheeran a Drink After He Says Their Hit's the Song of the Summer

WALK THE MOON is over the moon about the fact that they've just gotten a ringing endorsement from Ed Sheeran -- and they'd like to thank him with alcohol and pizza. Asked by Vulture to name the Song of the Summer for 2015, Ed surprisingly didn't choose his BFF Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood."  Instead, he told the website that WALK THE MOON's smash "Shut Up and Dance" is his pick.  "I’m just hearing that everywhere,” he said. "It just makes everyone happy whenever they hear it. I really like that song.” Ed actually chose the song from Vulture's list of…

Rob Thomas Launches Solo Tour in Support of Forthcoming Album "The Great Unknown"

Rob Thomas' new solo album The Great Unknown isn't coming out until late summer, but he's hitting the road tonight for a tour in support of the project and his new single, "Trust You."  Touring before your album comes out isn't standard practice in the music biz, but Rob says he's using these live shows as a way to warm up for the real work he'll have to do when it finally does. "Just totally selfishly, by the time that we hit the full promo for the album and you’re doing Fallon or Kimmel or whatever, we as a band…

Justin Timberlake is one of pop music's best golfers -- he's got a six handicap -- but we'll get a chance to see just how good he really is when he tees it up next month at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. The event pits more then 80 celebrities -- including pro athletes -- against one another for a $600,000 purse and benefits the Stowers Institute for Medical Research.  Also in the field are Duck Dynasty's Willie Robertson, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former NBA star Charles Barkley. This isn't Justin's first tournament experience: from 2008…

Ed Sheeran's "X" Already One of the Top Five Best-Selling Albums of the Decade in the UK

Ed Sheeran's current album X (multiply) will celebrate its one-year anniversary June 20, but in his home country of the U.K. it's already one of the biggest-selling albums of the decade. Britain's Official Charts Company says X is the fifth-biggest seller of this decade, moving 2.134 million copies in the U.K. since its release last year.  Ed's  debut album, + (plus), is in at #6. The top seller of the past decade is, unsurprisingly, Adele's 21, which has moved over 4.75 million copies in the U.K.  Surprisingly, a non-British artist, Michael Buble, has two albums in the top 10: his…

Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" Video Reaches One Billion Views on Vevo

Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” is officially a front-runner. The video for the song just became the second most-watched video in Vevo history with more than one billion views. Only Justin Bieber’s video for “Baby” has more views. Katy expressed her excitement over the news with an emoji-laden tweet: “Guys. Wut. Dark Horse has reached 1 BILLION views?! I seriously [heart] ur [eye]balls and ur fingers for dem clicks.” Not bad for a video that courted controversy when it was first released last year. The Egyptian-themed visual drew complaints for including a brief shot of a man wearing a pendant representing…
