That group, Echosmith, joined Taylor onstage to perform their hit "Cool Kids," and Taylor and lead singer Sydney Sierota posted plenty of photos of themselves posing together backstage.  "Amazing time!  We love you, Taylor. Thank you for the most incredible night," wrote the band on Instagram. Taylor also welcomed Mariska Hargitay and…

One Direction Plans to Stay Together While Pursuing Solo Projects

One Direction apparently wants the best of both worlds. People reports that the four remaining band members plan to stick together as a group while also pursuing solo projects. They’ve reportedly taken inspiration from a successful band that did something similar: The Rolling Stones. "The boys know that by sticking together they can still pursue everything they want to do as a foursome, as well as individually," a source tells People. "And there's no reason why they can't have lifetime careers both as a group and working on their own solo projects -- just like the Stones." The Rolling Stones…

Scooter Braun Explains Why He Compared Justin Bieber to Bob Dylan

After receiving backlash for comparing Justin Bieber to Bob Dylan, the Biebs’ manager Scooter Braun took to Twitter to clarify his comments. “And for those twisting what I said about one of the greats Bob Dylan…the comparison I made was regarding the risk Bob Dylan took by going outside of his career’s comfort zone and not being afraid of that change,” he writes. “Dylan’s greatness and boldness in going electric is an example of how going against the grain can become one of your biggest and defining moments.” The controversial comparison was made in a recent interview with Billboard. Scooter…

Adam Lambert Bonded with Sam Smith over Being Gay & in the Media

It seems like Adam Lambert has found a friend in Sam Smith. The former American Idol runner-up, whose new album The Original High drops Tuesday, tells Billboard he bonded with Sam over being gay and in the spotlight. "We've commiserated on how it is to be gay in the media," Adam says. "But a lot has changed. People are not as hung up on it. I'd like to think that the media doesn't sensationalize it as much, but sometimes I'm proven wrong." Adam, in a sense, paved the way for people like Sam. He became the first openly gay male…

Adam Levine Defends "Bad Words" in Maroon 5's New Single

Releasing a single that features an extremely dirty word as part of the chorus was an unexpected move for Maroon 5, but it hasn't stopped people from playing the song...and Adam Levine says he thinks "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherf***er" is great, even with all the cussing. Speaking to United Arab Emirates publication The National, Adam jokes that the band is "sorry" about putting out a song whose title can't be printed in a newspaper.  But, he adds, "despite some of the bad words, I think it is just a great, fun summer song."
