Justin Bieber turns 20 on March 1, and -- not surprisingly -- the troubled singer says his one wish is that people would stop assuming the worst of others, and just be nice for once. On Twitter, Justin wrote, "bday week. wish the world would learn to believe in the goodness in people and be kind to one another. together we can change the world :)." Justin also took the opportunity to criticize the media for reporting that residents of Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood were staging a protest outside a home in the area that he was allegedly interested in buying.…

Shakira Opens New School in Home Country of Colombia

On Monday, while we were all watching Shakira be a coach on The Voice, the woman herself was back in her home country of Colombia, opening yet another school that's been funded by her non-profit organization, Pies Descalzos, or "Bare Feet." The school -- the eighth that Shakira has opened -- is located in a low-income neighborhood in Cartagena, a tourist city on Colombia's Atlantic Coast.  The school will provide an education for 1,700 needy children, from toddlers through high-schoolers. More than 40,000 Sign Petition Calling for YouTube Ban of Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" Video

Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" video shows the singer as an Egyptian queen, Katy-Patra, who systematically destroys suitors who come to her bearing gifts, turning the men into sand.  But one particular scene in the video has offended some Muslims so much that they've launched a petition to get it banned from YouTube. In the video, one of Katy-Patra's suitors is wearing a gold pendant that displays the name of God, or Allah, written in Arabic. After accepting his gift of an enormous diamond, Katy causes lightning to strike him, and he disintegrates.   The petition states, "A man is shown being…

A Great Big World Talks "Magical" Moments with Christina in the Studio -- and on the Paintball Field

One of the most unexpected musical successes of late 2013 was "Say Something," the moving duet between pop duo A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera.  After falling in love with the song, Christina asked A Great Big World if she could add her vocals to a new version, but they were surprised to find out that what the powerhouse vocalist had in mind involved her singing less, not more. As the duo's Ian Axel tells ABC News Radio, they went into the studio prepared with ideas of what parts of the song they could give to Christina for her…

Miley Cyrus Playing Tinkerbell? "I Would Rather Choke on My Own Tongue"

Last month, when NBC announced it was planning to air Peter Pan, a live musical in the vein of its successful broadcast of The Sound of Music, an exec joked that he wanted to get Miley Cyrus to play Tinkerbell in the production.  Clearly, Miley is not a fan of that idea.  At all. Miley posted a photo of a story from a gossip magazine that claimed that Tinkerbell is her "dream role" and that she's "determined" to get better reviews than Carrie Underwood did for The Sound of Music.  She captioned the photo, "I would rather choke on my…
