Hey "American Idol": Adam Lambert loves "critiquing with positivity"

Ever since ABC announced plans to reboot American Idol, speculation as to who would judge the show has been non-stop.  Katy Perry is the only name confirmed so far, but there are rumors that former contestant Adam Lambert might sit behind the table, too.  Adam says at this point, the fact that his name is in the mix doesn't surprise him. "Every time Idol is casting a judge, there’s a rumor about me," he tells ABC Radio, laughing. "So I mean, yeah, I’m flattered that people associate me so closely. It’s really great." Adam says he's interested in the job…

"Billboard" Music Awards 2017: Celine Dion Leads Backstage Dance Party

Celine Dion may be a music legend, but she's also a music fan.  That's why she stopped everything backstage at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas to check out Cher's performance on a nearby monitor. As Cher performed her huge hit "Believe," Celine and all the reporters gathered around the monitor.  Celine started to sing along, and so did all the reporters.  Soon, everyone was singing and dancing to the song, which Cher performed before she accepted the Billboard ICON Award.  It was the award that Celine herself received last year.  Celine -- as well as everyone else…

"Billboard" Music Awards 2017: The Magenta Carpet

Many big names who performed at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas skipped the red carpet -- for example, Lorde, Celine Dion, Cher, Drake and Miley Cyrus were nowhere to be seen.  But there were plenty of folks who did stop to chat on the magenta carpet on their way into the show. DJ Khaled was his usual positive self, talking about how delighted he was that "I'm the One," his superstar collaboration with Justin Bieber, Quavo and others, had debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  It was Khaled's very first #1 hit. "Tears came…

Harry Styles' self-titled debut enters at #1, sets new record

Harry Styles' self-titled debut album was only going in One Direction: straight to number one. That means he's just set a new record for the biggest debut sales week for a British male's first full-length album since 1991, when Nielsen started keeping track of this stuff. The previous record-holder was Sam Smith, whose 2014 debut In the Lonely Hour sold 166,000 copies. Harry's also only the second British male artist to debut at #1 with a…

Liam Payne & a very deep-voiced Ed Sheeran team for "Strip that Down"

Liam Payne is the fifth, and last, current or former One Direction member to release a solo single.  His new track "Strip That Down" features Quavo of the hip-hip trio Migos, and was co-written by Ed Sheeran. In fact, Ed makes a guest appearance on it...but you may not realize it. The song features a deep male voice saying, "Strip that down girl/love when you hit the ground."  During an appearance on BBC Radio 1, Liam revealed that the voice belongs to none other than Ed...it's just been pitched way, way down. "Honestly, I feel so blessed and lucky that…
