"Lean On," by Diplo's side project Major Lazer, has become a top-five hit. One of the more memorable lines from the song comes in the chorus when MO, the female vocalist on the track, sings, "Blow a kiss/fire a gun." What does that mean? The superstar deejay and producer says it's all about how relationships can be both "beautiful" and "violent."
"I think for the most part it’s open to interpretation," Diplo tells ABC Radio. "The song is about love and how you lost somebody, and how it changed. And I think that when you’re in a relationship with somebody,…
Maroon 5 is heading to Latin America. The band will be touring Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil early next year.
The 12-stop trek will kick off in Mexico on February 26. They’ll play three dates in the country before heading to Bogota, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Santiago, Chile. Adam Levine and Co. will finish things off with seven shows across Brazil, ending in Rio de Janeiro on March 20.
Fans in Colombia are already in a frenzy over the news that Maroon 5 would be returning to the country after an eight-year hiatus. According to Billboard, Adam Levine…
Amid all of the rumors swirling since One Direction announced they’re going on hiatus next year, comes what appears to be a plagiarism accusation from DJ-producer Zedd.
Zedd seems to think the boy band ripped off his song “True Colors” with their new single “Drag Me Down.” He posted a video on Instagram showcasing a similar-sounding line melodic phrase on the words "all my life" from both of the songs. Zedd didn’t caption the video, but instead included a shocked face emoji.
This isn’t the first time 1D has been hit with copycat claims. Their hit "What Makes You Beautiful"…
Things are getting trippy for The Voice coaches this season. A new promo for season nine features Adam Levine riding a unicorn and Gwen Stefani sprouting butterfly wings.
In the clip, which premiered on Access Hollywood, the coaches are given virtual reality headsets that transport them into a psychedelic, animated world. When they hear someone singing in the distance, Adam, Gwen, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams all fight to get there first. But little do they know the headsets make them look completely crazy to anyone watching them -- namely host Carson Daly and a group of stunned tourists.
She’s all about those clicks. Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” video has officially surpassed one billion views on Vevo.
“1 BILLION I thought this video MIGHT get 20,000 when it first came out,” Meghan writes on Instagram. “Now a year later...WOW! Thank you to everyone who helped in the making of this video and who helped me start my career! I love you all so much.”
The pastel-colored visual for the body-positive anthem features Meghan dancing with some curvy beauties as she sings about bringing booty back.
In June, Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" video reached the one billion milestone…
Ed Sheeran launched his own record label, Gingerbread Man, not long ago, but now he's set up a YouTube channel to show off the artists he's signed.
In a self-aware welcome message posted on the channel, Ed says, "I hope you enjoy everything that we put out, so subscribe underneath wherever you do that, and comment and say something nice...or nasty." He adds, straight-faced, "You know, there’s a lot of Internet trolls out there, on YouTube, but I’ve never met them. Have you?"
Ed's first signing is an artist named Jamie Lawson, who Ed's toured with in Australia, the U.K.…
Iggy Azalea and Demi Lovato are definitely collaborating on a song, but if you were hoping the track would be a single, it sounds like you’re out of luck.

One Direction recently confirmed they’ll take a break next year, but made sure to clarify they're not breaking up. In an interview with Billboard, though, 1D producer Julian Bunetta says the band’s next album could potentially be their last.
“There was a feeling of, ‘Well, we’re going to take a break, and anything in the world can happen during that time off,’” says Bunetta. “It’s the first time of there being some uncertainty, of not having things planned out beforehand, since they were 16 years old. There was definitely a vibe of making [the album] the best it can possibly…
