Ever since that incident in January in which Justin Bieber allegedly threw eggs at his neighbor's house in Calabasas, California, there's been speculation over whether the singer would actually be charged, and for what specific crime.  Well, it's finally been decided, and it's not as bad as it could have been. Justin will be charged today with one count of misdemeanor vandalism for the egg incident.  He won't be present for his arraignment, which will take place at 1:30 p.m. PT in L.A. Ariana Grande Never Gets Tired of Mariah Comparisons

Ever since Ariana Grande broke through with her debut album, she's been compared to Mariah Carey, thanks to her impressive vocal range and tone.  In fact, rapper A$AP Ferg, who appears on Ariana's upcoming album, just told MTV a few days ago that she's "the next Mariah Carey."  But how does Ariana herself feel about the comparisons?  She's not exactly complaining. "No," Ariana told ABC News Radio when asked if she's tired of constantly being mentioned in the same breath as Mimi.  "I mean, it's a massive compliment. It would be so silly to be like, 'Ugh, stop saying that!'…

The Fleetwood Mac singer and the Maroon 5 frontman sat down with Extra to discuss her role. Adam joked that he won Stevie over with “bribery, begging, pleading.” Stevie played along and added, “Presents...fur coat, some beautiful shoes, sheets.” Stevie pointed out that she's appeared on The Voice before -- she sang "Landslide" during the season-one finale with eventual winner…

Katy Perry Gets Medieval in New Animated Ad for Killer Queen: Royal Revolution Perfume

Sometimes Katy Perry seems like a cartoon character, thanks to her out-there costumes, but now she really is one:  she appears in animated form in a new video created to promote her latest perfume Killer Queen: Royal Revolution. The animated ad takes us back to a time of kings, knights and castles, where a bunch of armored guardsmen are shown nailing a note to a tree that reads, "Emperor's Order: Give Us Your First Born Daughter."  Crying young women are taken away from their families and loaded into a trailer with barred windows; they're then transported to the evil emperor's…

Colbie Caillat Wipes Off the Makeup in Video for "Try"

Colbie Caillat's song "Try" is about being yourself, and not trying to conform to anybody else's standards.  In the brand-new video for the song, she and a group of women illustrate that message by putting makeup remover to good use. The song is lip-synched by Colbie and a variety of women of different ages and races, all of whom are heavily made-up.  Then, you see them wiping off the makeup and revealing their true faces to the world. One older woman removes a long dark wig, revealing that she's bald.  Towards the end, we see the women in split-screen, one…

Nico & Vinz Are "Living a Dream" Thanks to Global Success of "Am I Wrong"

One of the candidates for "Song of the Summer" is definitely "Am I Wrong," by the Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz.  The song has been a smash all over the world -- most recently in the U.S. -- but that's not surprising, considering the duo consciously tried to create a sound that would please music fans everywhere, no matter where they live. Nico Sereba and Vincent Dery -- both Norwegian, but with African parents -- started out as a duo called Envy, and their sound featured more rapping and less singing.  But when they decided they wanted to take their…

MAGIC! Frontman Keeps Tabs on Justin Bieber: "I Look at Him Like a Little Brother"

Before MAGIC! broke through with their summer hit "Rude," their frontman, Nasri Atweh, penned hits for other artists, including Pitbull, Chris Brown and Justin Bieber.  And Nasri, who's Canadian like the Bieb, says he's been keeping tabs on the young singer via text. "I spent probably the most time with Justin out of everyone, because I did a lot of Justin's records. I look at him like a little brother," Nasri tells Rolling Stone.  "I just text him, 'Are you cool?" He's like, 'Yeah, I'm cool.'"  But that, says Nasri, is as far as his involvement in Justin's recent problems…

Taylor Swift on Music's Future: Surprises Are In, Autographs Are Out

Many pundits have written about how the music industry is in dire straits, as album sales continue to shrink and artists who regularly hit #1 can barely manage a top 10 debut these days.  But one person who's optimistic about the music industry -- and the future of the album as an art form -- is Taylor Swift.  In fact, she's even written an op-ed on the topic for the Wall Street Journal. "I’d like to point out that people [are] still buying albums, but now they’re buying just a few of them. They are buying only the ones that…
