Pharrell Williams goes from "Happy" to "Yellow Lights" with new song for "Despicable Me 3"

It looks like Pharrell Williams is hoping the Despicable Me franchise brings him yet another Oscar nomination: he's got a new song on the Despicable Me 3 soundtrack called "Yellow Lights."   The multi-talented superstar earned an Oscar nod and a Grammy for his 2013 #1 hit "Happy," from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. Fans will be able to watch a video-game inspired music video for "Yellow Lights" on Friday. Sia releases video for "Free Me," starring Zoe Saldana and Julianne Moore

Sia's latest video -- for the brand-new ballad "Free Me" -- features some star power, namely Oscar winner Julianne Moore and Guardians of the Galaxy actress Zoe Saldana.  The song and video come in support of the #endHIV campaign of the Abzyme Research Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to an AIDS vaccine.The video, narrated by Moore, feature Saldana as a pregnant woman who discovers she is HIV positive, and, it being a Sia video, interprets Saldana's character's emotions through dance, including a performance by the actress herself. Katy Perry hosts online preview of "Witness"; album out now

It's been a four-year wait for Katy Perry fans, but Katy's new album Witness is out today.  And in the run up to the album's released Katy hosted a live streamed preview of the album on YouTube -- Witness World Wide. Adele and Coldplay were among the most-played artists in the U.K. last year, according to the British music licensing company Phonographic Performance Ltd. Coldplay came in at number one, with Adele taking the number two spot. Other notable acts that made the top 10 include Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift. Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” was PPL’s most-played track of last year. Lorde announces international tour dates; teases new song

Lorde will be hitting the road this fall on a headlining world tour in support of her forthcoming sophomore album, Melodrama. The international trek begins September 26 in Manchester, England and will make its way through the U.K. and the rest of Europe. In November, Lorde will hit her home country of New Zealand and Australia.
