Justin Bieber Approves of "SNL" Parody of His Calvin Klein Ads

At least Justin Bieber's got a sense of humor about himself: he was able to laugh at Saturday Night Live's parody of his Calvin Klein underwear ads this weekend. Justin was portrayed by SNL's Kate McKinnon in the black and white parody spots, of which there were three.  In them, he's seen playing drums, lifting weights, combing non-existent facial hair, playing basketball, smelling his own armpits, riding in a baby carriage, attempting to do pushups, running around screaming like an idiot and uttering inane comments like, "This tattoo made me say 'Owwee,'" and "Are my muscles cute?"  In one, "Justin"…

Consumer Group Urges Taylor Swift to Drop Diet Coke Endorsement

Taylor Swift has had an endorsement deal with Diet Coke for a while, but a consumer group is now urging her to "Shake It Off." The Center for Science in the Public Interest has issued an open letter to Taylor, asking her to drop her alliance with the beverage because it contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which it claims has caused cancer in animals.  In the letter, the CSPI notes that Taylor's endorsement of Diet Coke is better than if she endorsed regular Coke, but states that there are risks to drinking diet soda as well. CSPI's executive director Michael…

In true secretive Sia fashion, the singer donned a black veil to hide her face in a Saturday Night Live promo released Friday. Sia, who’ll be performing on the show this weekend, appears in just one promo with host Kevin Hart and SNL cast member Kate McKinnon. She doesn’t say much, but laughs as Kevin and Kate make bad puns out of her name.   There’s been much speculation about what Sia's performance will entail, since she always turns her back to the camera during TV appearances, though there are plenty of photos of her online sans cover-up. People recently…

Lady Gaga Recording with RedOne Again?

It appears Lady Gaga and her go-to producer, RedOne, are recording together again. Gaga posted an Instagram photo Thursday of the two in the studio. They're sitting in front of a piano, and RedOne is holding a guitar as Gaga looks on. RedOne, whose birth name is Nadir Khayat, produced some of the biggest tracks off Gaga’s 2008 debut album, The Fame, including “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” and “LoveGame.” He also worked with her on a number of songs from 2011’s Born This Way, but was noticeably absent for her last album, 2013’s Artpop.
