Kesha's mother, songwriter Pebe Sebert, is speaking out, telling Billboard that Dr. Luke, the producer her daughter has accused of sexual and emotional abuse, "has final say over everything."
As previously reported, Kesha claims Dr. Luke raped and emotionally abused her and attempted to legally terminate her deal with the producer’s Kemosabe Records, housed under Sony. Dr. Luke has denied her accusations. The singer remains locked into her contract following a court decision last month. Sony has said it is unable to interfere with the contract, but says Kesha is, in fact, free to work with other producers.
