It seems all that touring really paid off. According to Forbes, Katy Perry is the highest-paid musician of the year. She raked in $135 million, mostly thanks to her long-running Prismatic World Tour which grossed more than $2 million per city.
One Direction takes the number two spot on the list, having generated $130 million this year, and Taylor Swift comes in fourth place with $80 million. Taylor’s 1989 World Tour is grossing around $4 million per city, making her a top contender to overtake Katy for the number one spot next year.

Pentatonix will be taking their holiday cheer to New York City’s Empire State Building on Thursday. The a cappella group will perform their Grammy-nominated song “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” in the building’s lobby at 6 p.m.
The live performance is in celebration of the group’s participation in the Empire State Building’s Holiday Light Show, which will take place Monday, December 21.
