Fifth Harmony may have lost Camila Cabello last year, but the group is "Miss Movin' On" without her. Billboard reports that the group has resigned with their record label, Epic, and plans to go ahead with a third full-length album. An insider tells Billboard, "They’re in a position to have more creative involvement and really direct where they want their music to go. They're a huge name on the Epic roster so it makes sense to keep them there and work on another hit album." Music business attorney Debra White, who doesn't work with Fifth Harmony but who negotiates similar…

Alessia Cara's "Moana" Song Up for a Golden Globe Sunday Night: "I Definitely Resonated With" It

The good news: a song Alessia Cara recorded is up for a Golden Globe this Sunday night!  The bad news: if it wins, she won't get the trophy because she didn't write it.  But according to Alessia, she might as well have written it, because it's pretty much the story of her life. The song "How Far I'll Go," from the hit Disney animated film Moana, was written by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.  The song's about the journey of Moana, a young Polynesian princess who strikes out on her own to save her people.  Alessia explains why that theme is…

The Wrap reports that a federal judge in Virginia on Thursday dismissed a copyright infringement suit against the pair over the song "Somebody to Love" from Justin's 2010 album My World 2.0. The suit was dismissed "with prejudice" meaning that it can't be re-filed.  The case was first filed in 2013 by Devin Copeland and Mareio Oberton who claimed that they wrote "Somebody to Love" in 2008 and that Usher and Bieber lifted parts of the song after Usher had expressed an interest in working with…
