Kesha Supporters Planning March on Sony Headquarters; Dr. Luke's Lawyer Denies He's Being Dropped by Sony

Kesha’s supporters are planning something big. According to The Wrap, more than 100 protestors are set to march onto Sony’s New York City headquarters on Friday. The group plans to deliver several petitions with more than 411,000 signatures imploring the label to release Kesha from her contract with producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Taylor Swift has been tapped to deliver a special performance at this year’s U.S. Grand Prix. The Formula 1 event will take place at the Circuit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas the weekend of October 21-23. Sam Smith may have won the Academy Award last month for Best Original Song, but Lady Gaga bested him where it counts: on download sales. Billboard reports that after Sam won the Oscar for "The Writing's on the Wall," sales of the James Bond theme increased 466 percent: according to Nielsen music, the song sold 22,000 downloads the week following the ceremony.  But Lady Gaga's nominated song, "'Til It Happens to You," had a much larger increase.
