"No Truth" to Rumor that Adele Has Confirmed Album and World Tour for 2015

The Internet was ablaze on Wednesday with the news that Adele had confirmed that she's prepping a new album and a world tour for 2015.  Except, she didn't. The Twitter account for the World Music Awards posted the following information on Tuesday: "#adele confirms 2015 Tour After The Release Of Her New Album ‘25’!"   However, Adele herself hasn't tweeted anything of the sort, and her record label hasn't announced anything either.  In addition, the chairman of Beggars Group, the parent company of Adele's label, tells Billboard that there is "no truth in this." As for why the World Music…

Who's That Girl? Sia Debuts at #1 with "1000 Forms of Fear"

An artist who promoted her album without ever showing her face publicly has managed to debut at #1 on the Billboard chart. Sia, the Australian artist best known for writing Rihanna's #1 hit "Diamonds," and for co-writing and singing on both David Guetta's "Titanium" and Flo Rida's "Wild Ones," has scored her first #1 album on the Billboard Top 200 chart with her latest disc, 1000 Forms of Fear. While Sia technically "made the rounds" promoting the disc and its single, "Chandelier," she did it in a unique way.  She appeared on the cover of Billboard magazine -- with a…

Train's Goals for the Future: Be "Cool & Hip," Play "Saturday Night Live"

In their long career, Train has won three Grammys, performed all over the world and sold over 10 million albums worldwide.  However, they still have a few goals they have yet to achieve -- like finally being cool, for example. In Train frontman Pat Monahan's most recent podcast, a regular interview series that he calls Patcast, he sat down with guitarist Jimmy Stafford -- the only other founding member of the band remaining -- and the other members of the group to discuss their experiences.  When he asked Jimmy about his goals for their new album, Bulletproof Picasso, the guitarist…

Lifetime's upcoming Whitney Houston biopic will feature some of the singer's big hits, though it won't be Whitney's voice, or the voice of former America's Next Top Model runner-up Yaya DaCosta, the star of the movie, we'll be hearing. "Weird Al" Thrilled that Every Artist He Wanted to Spoof on New Album Agreed to It

Many times in his career as pop music's best-known parodist, "Weird Al" Yankovic has been turned down by artists who won't let him make fun of their hit songs -- James Blunt and Eminem are just two who said no.  But he says with his new album Mandatory Fun, the likes of Lorde, Imagine Dragons and Pharrell Williams were all totally down for him to spoof their hits. "I was very lucky --  this is my first album in a long time that didn't have any actual drama," "Weird Al" tells Billboard. "It seems like my last few albums have…

Ellie Goulding: Taylor Swift Tells Me to Suck It Up

Ellie Goulding says having two other chart-topping female singers as friends -- Katy Perry and Taylor Swift -- is a good thing not just because they're musicians too, but because they totally get what it takes to be a global pop star these days. Speaking to Glamour UK, Ellie says, "We're friends because they understand the predicaments. They see what is and isn't real. I'm not anywhere near their level of fame, but if I say, 'Oh God, Taylor, this happened,' she'll be like, 'Girl, that's nothing.' [Like a] suck it up kind of thing!" "I have strong female characters…
