Why "People" Magazine Readers Love 40th Anniversary Cover Girl Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift covers People magazine's 40th anniversary issue, which is on stands Friday.  The cover is a recreation of the magazine's very first issue back in March of 1974, which showed Mia Farrow in character as Daisy Buchanan in what was then her current movie, The Great Gatsby.  According to a People editor, Taylor easily pulled the look off because she's a "chameleon." People Staff Editor Antoinette Coulton tells ABC News Radio, "It was actually our creative director who thought that it would look great to see if Taylor could recreate this. And she was up for the idea. And…

What Advice Would Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson & J-Lo Give Their Younger Selves?

To commemorate its 40th anniversary issue, People magazine asked some big stars what advice they'd give to their younger selves, if they were able to go back in time.  Surprisingly, the advice that two music superstars -- Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson -- said they would offer their younger selves has to do with their physical appearance. Kelly tells People magazine that she'd tell Kelly of the past, "When people call you fact and imperfect, simply remember you can sing circles around them."  As for Adam, he goes into great detail, saying, "The thing I probably would have told myself…

All five members of the group -- Jordan, Donnie, Danny, Joey and Jonathan -- were on hand for the ceremony, and so was Arsenio Hall, who told the crowd that new music is coming from the fivesome.  He also cracked, "“This is how big a Blockhead I am. Remember the 'Step by Step' video? I stole Danny’s leopard jacket and I…
