Hello everyone! My name is Makenna and I am the new intern here at 95.9 Kiss FM. The experience has been amazing so far. Dayton, Chugs, Nikki and the rest of the Kiss Nation have been so welcoming and I am very thankful for that! Being my first blog, I figured I would introduce myself. There are many things to know about me, however I feel that the most important to know is my love for music. Being a vocalist and piano player myself, I have landed some pretty awesome opportunities such as singing on the Today Show, being in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, singing the National Anthem at Fenway in Boston, singing the National Anthem at Miller Park in Milwaukee, attending Grammy Camp and many more. I also love sports. My favorite sport is volleyball. I was a volleyball player myself at Kaukauna High School for four years, and am not sure if I am continuing to play in college or not. I also love to watch basketball and football, but especially baseball. I am a Packers fan, a Red Sox fan, a Brewers fan, and a Miami Heat fan because of my younger brother Dalton, who I am very close with, which brings me to the next thing you should know about me. Above everything, family is the most important to me. Without my mom and dad, I wouldn't have had half of the opportunities that I have had, and I am forever grateful. Traveling is our favorite thing to do as a family. We have been to 32 of the 50 states, and went on a cruise to the Bahamas together. Then this past year, my mom and I went on a big trip together where we traveled to New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii. I love to travel and plan to continue to as I grow up, weather it be through study abroad programs, or with family. Lastly, I think that it is appropriate to mention that I hate bullying.
