We're sitting at the table and I see something sitting by the shredder to be shred. I ask, "What is that?"
Kylee responds, "That's the Erbert and Gerbert's thingy."
I pick it up, because I don't know what an "Erbert and Gerbert's thingy" is and see that it's her Gerber Life Insurance statement. Not quite the same thing.
It would be kind of cool though. Sorry your loved one passed away. You and your family now have sandwiches for life. MMMMM....Narmers and Borks forever!
My wife's High School reunion was Saturday. She graduated a year after me from Menomonee Falls so a lot of her friends were my friends. On the way back to Appleton on Sunday she asks me "Did you see anyone and think 'If only I had married so-and-so?'"
Jacob, sitting in the back seat watching a movie says "Mom! Even if he had, do you think he'd tell you the truth when you ask him that question!"
10 years old and he already knows how to answer the tough ones. I guess I'm teaching him well.
I'm sure by now you've heard the phone call between Mel Gibson and his ex, Oksana. Mel Gibson just goes into a tantrum. David Letterman explains why...
My kids are leaving for camp this morning and will be gone for a week. I'm not glad cuz they'll be gone for a week, but, my 10 year-old still gets a little nervous before leaving so we get a lot of hugs and "I love you"s before he goes.
Sometimes 10 year-olds can get a bit wrapped up in themselves (and their sports) to remember to appreciate family. I guess the thought of being away from Mom and Dad makes him realize what he has.
So, what is the moral of this little story? If you want your kids to love you send them away. HA!
We went to Summerfest again last night to see Idols Live. Quick review...huge lights, great sound the Idol crew was great. The Marcus Amphitheather - not even half full.
Do you think the concert promoters are realizing yet that you cannot charge sixty to hundreds of dollars per tickets? It's really too bad but people are missing out on great live shows due to ticket price. A family of four is looking at dropping at least $200 to go to a concert these days. Just not doable (with any consistency anyway).
I think that might be why we had almost 4,000 people at Chickenfest - it was free. Well, the people that showed up did have to listen to me on stage so maybe there was a price to pay.
The politically correct movement has messed with another 70 year-old icon. This time it's Wonder Woman. Known for her sexy appeal while fighting crime, they PC Legion has now made Marvel kowtow and put pants on her! Oh the humanity.
Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber actually put on one heck of a show at Summerfest last night. It was fun, they kept the crowd entertained, and I went away impressed. However, this was the best part of the night:
You won't see that at too many concerts at The Marcus Amphitheater!
At KISS FM events, I rarely get to see the concert because I'm running around doing other things (talking to listeners, getting artists in the right spot, introducing bands, talking to festival organizers, directing people as to what needs to be done in general). Last night at Chickenfest I didn't get a photo with Jaicko or Charice because of this. Since Kat Deluna was our last artist I made sure I got a photo before we all left for the night.
