People will start getting their census forms in the mail this week, but a group in Appleton has spent several months laying the groundwork to make sure they fill them out.
City clerk Cindy Hesse helped put together Appleton's complete count committee, and she says they've been reaching out to various organizations. She says they include minority groups, especially people language barriers and those who might mistrust government.
Hesse says it's important to return the 10-question survey because the federal government bases many of its funding formulas on population figures.
People need to return their census form by April 1. |
