Fire destroyed a home in Combined Locks yesterday.
Crews were called to the 200 block of Hidden Ridges Way around 4:15 p.m., after someone saw smoke coming from the attached garage and called 911.
Police chief Scott Lund says by the time firefighters arrived, the flames had spread to the house. He says both people who were inside got out safely.
The house is behind Kimberly high school and people could see the smoke from fire from Hwy. 441.
The roof of the home collapsed and firefighters were working last night to put out hot spots. Lund says it appears the two nearby homes were safe.
Lund says the Red Cross is helping the homeowners. He says they have family in the area. |
