News » Prominent attorney arrested for sexual assault
Feb. 16, 2010 A defense attorney who has handled a number of high-profile cases in the area is in trouble with the law.
Appleton and Grand Chute police are asking prosecutors to file criminal charges against Tom Zoesch. The 64-year-old prominent Appleton attorney was arrested last night by Grand Chute police.
Appleton Police Lt. Pat Matuszewski says a woman accused Zoesch of sexually assaulting her Sunday night, at a home on N. Mistwood Lane. He says Grand Chute officers called Appleton investigators about Zoesch last night.
Matuszewski says Appleton police are recommending charges of second-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.
Lt. Jerome Martin of the Grand Chute department says the woman called police around 10 p.m. because Zoesch wouldn't leave her apartment.
Zoesch is in the Outagamie County jail.
Martin says Grand Chute investigators are seeking charges of battery, disorderly conduct and fourth-degree sexual assault. He says the woman had dated Zoesch in the past.
The Outagamie County district attorney's office is looking for a special prosecutor to handle the cases. |
