The pastor of St. Mary's parish in Appleton was eulogized today as a deeply caring and compassionate man.
Father Mike O'Rourke dies Monday, a week after suffering a skull fracture in a fall outside his home. Father Mike was a pastor at Saint Mary's for nearly 24 years, and built a family of parishoners.
His friend, Father Larry Abler, says the absense of Father Mike will be deply felt, but he told parishoners that they must carry on.
Doug Hahn belongs to Saint Mary's parish. He remebers all of the wonderful things that Father Mike did for his children.
Nearly 1,400 people were on hand to say goodbye to Father Mike. |
