News » 5,000 teens expects at Party at the PAC

Mar. 2, 2010
Five thousand teens from 32 local high schools will take part in an outreach program aimed at making them better, safer drivers.

The Party at the PAC teaches teens about dangers of drunken driving and other risky behavior. Doctor Ray Georgen is the Trauma Director at Theda Clark Medical Center.  He says the program is mainly aimed at freshman and sophomores.

Doctor Georgen says this year they will place an emphasis on texting while driving.

Local police and fire officials will join first responders and doctors, to perform skits depicting tragic accidents.  Students will also hear from a young woman who spent four months in jail after two of her passengers died in a car crash.
