News » Official applauds local response to storms
July 15, 2010 Local firefighters, first responders and law enforcement agencies were ready to go when last night's heavy rains hit the area. That's according to Outagamie County emergency management director Christina Muller.
Muller says officials gave them a "heads up" earlier yesterday that severe storms could be on the way.
She says some agencies are still dealing with high water on roads and in ditches, but the water should continue to subside.
Muller says a number of homes in the county have water in the basement and the Red Cross is trying to help. She says the non-profit is offering clean-up kits. They include a mop, squeegee, detergent and bleach. |
