News » Siveny to stand trial on bail jumping charges
July 15, 2010 A suspect in the 2008 murder of a Greenville woman is facing a trial on unrelated bail jumping charges.
Under conditions of her bond, 51-year-old Dianna Siveny can't contact her daughter, Kandi, but an Outagamie County investigator says Siveny did just that, eight times since late April. That's when Siveny was charged with hiring someone to severely beat her former live-in girlfriend, Lara Plamann, in 2007. Court records say Kandi Siveny was also involved.
Kandi is in a Minnesota prison, and Detective Chris Hammen testified yesterday that she would call her mother's partner and talk with Siveny over speaker phone, while the other woman acted as an intermediary.
He says Kandi used a different inmate's phone code to try to hide the calls.
Outagamie County judge Nancy Krueger ruled that there was probable cause to order a trial.
Although she's never been charged, Siveny is a person of interest in Plamann's 2008 murder. Plamann was shot to death in a building on the property she shared with Siveny. |
