News » Romney, Gingrich in NE Wis. today
Mar. 30, 2012 The current Republican frontrunner in the race for president is coming to Lawrence University today.
Mitt Romney will speak at 2 p.m. at Stansbury Theater.
Lawrence professor of government Claudena Skran says the Fox Valley is a key swing area, in a swing state. And if Romney does well here, she says it could help him win the rest of the state, and lead to a major momentum boost.
Newt Gingrich also sees the importance of northeast Wisconsin. He's holding a rally at UW-Oshkosh at 11:45 a.m., followed by two stops in Green Bay this afternoon.
Rick Santorum was in the area last weekend.
Wisconsin's presidential primary is on Tuesday. |
