News » Gingrich draws small crowd at UW-O rally
Mar. 30, 2012 Only about 200 people showed up at the Kolf Sports Center on the UW-Oshkosh campus to day, for a rally for a GOP presidential candidate.
Newt Gingrich is running a distant third in the race for the Republican nomination, behind Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.
Gingrich didn't mention the other GOP candidates during his speech, but called on the federal government to use technology like the credit card companies use, to crack down on Medicaid fraud.
Gingrich also says the country needs to increase oil and natural gas drilling. He says it would give the country economic, and energy, independence.
He says with that money, the country could pay off its debt within the next several decades. |
