News » Calumet Co. voters to decide race for judge
Mar. 30, 2012 An appointed judge and a private practice attorney are on Tuesday's ballot for Calumet County judge.
Judge Jeffrey Froehlich is running against attorney Wayne Fulleylove-Krause.
Froehlich joined the bench last September, following the retirement of longtime Judge Donald Poppy. He was a prosecutor for Calumet County for 10 years, after spending time in the Outagamie County district attorney's office.
Froehlich says he handles a variety of cases, because there's only one judge in the county.
Fullylove-Krause says he also has a wide range of experience, because he handles a variety of cases, including criminal and civil trials, divorces, and real estate transactions.
He says he's wanted to be a judge since he graduated from Marquette law school.
Governor Walker appointed Froehlich last year, after seeking applications for the position. |
