News » Clintonville has recording of boom
Apr. 2, 2012 There's a recording of one of the Clintonville booms.
City Administrator Lisa Kuss says a student from Madison Area Technical College captured the sound on March 24.
Kuss says they sent the recording to the U.S. Geological Survey, and a scientist says the sound is consistent with what is heard during an earthquake.
The booms started two weeks ago, and Kuss says recently, the police department has only received a few calls here and there. She says people should continue to call.
Scientists recorded a magnitude 1.5 earthquake on March 21.
