News » Romney holds town hall in Green Bay
Apr. 2, 2012 Wisconsin voters cast their ballots tomorrow in a presidential primary, and the candidates running for the GOP nomination were in northeast Wisconsin Monday, trying to gain some last minute support.
During a town hall meeting in front of about 200 people in Green Bay, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney said lowering business taxes is among his top priorities.
Romney says he also wants to open up more land for oil and natural gas drilling, create a new oil pipeline between Canada and Texas, and repeal the healthcare reform law.
But he also says he's willing to compromise with Democrats, to accomplish his goals.
Romney is the current frontrunner in the race, and polls show him leading Wisconsin. |
