News » WPS seeks big electricity rate hike
Apr. 3, 2012 Wisconsin Public Service customers might see a 9.2 percent increase in their electricity bill next year.
The Green Bay-based utility is requesting that rate hike, through the state's public service commission.
Natural gas rates would go up by 3.7 percent.
WPS officials say electricity rates haven't gone up by more than a half-percent in each of the last four years.
The average customer would pay about $7 more per month. The natural gas increase would cost about $2.50 a month. |
