News » Concussion bill signed into law
Apr. 3, 2012 A new law forces Wisconsin schools to take extra steps, to prevent students from getting multiple concussions.
Governor Walker was at Lambeau Field yesterday afternoon to sign a proposal that bans student athletes from returning to a game, until they get a doctor's permission.
The NFL lobbied for the bill, and Packers president Mark Murphy says it's a good rule for all athletes.
Former Packers offensive lineman Mark Tauscher also spoke in favor of the bill. He says head trauma is a serious issue, and he's glad state lawmakers made it a priority. |
