News » Planned Parenthood reacts to homemade bomb
Apr. 3, 2012 The head of Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin is reacting to the incident at the organization's clinic in Grand Chute.
A small homemade bomb went off Sunday night, causing minor damage.
President Teri Huyck says it's upsetting, but they feel good about the safety and welfare of their staff and patients. She says Grand Chute police are doing a good job handling the situation.
Huyck says someone set the bomb on an outside windowsill, and it started a small fire that caused minimal damage to one of the exam rooms. She says the fire was already out when Grand Chute firefighters got there.
Wisconsin Right to Life and NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin condemned the incident.
Huyck says they'll reopen the office today. |
