News » Homebrewers now able to share beer
Apr. 3, 2012 Homebrewers will no longer be breaking the law, if they bring some of their beer to a friend's house.
Gov. Walker signed the homebrew bill yesterday.
Rep. Dean Kaufert of Neenah co-authored the proposal. He says he pushed for the change after a couple of area homebrewers told him they wanted to share their beer, and take it to tasting events.
Kaufert says the change could lead to more public events.
The law still bans homebrewers from selling their beer, and limits them to 200 gallons per year. |
