News » Santorum wins 3 NE Wis. counties
Apr. 4, 2012 While Mitt Romney won the Wisconsin Republican presidential primary, the results were different in three area counties.
The current frontrunner in the race for president didn't fare as well in northeast Wisconsin. Mitt Romney won in Winnebago County, but Rick Santorum was the leading vote-getter in Outagamie, Brown, and Calumet counties.
Santorum topped Romney in Outagamie, 41 to 37 percent, 44 to 37 in Brown, and 42 to 37 in Calumet. Romney won Winnebago County, 40 to 38 percent.
In all four counties, Ron Paul was a distant third, and Newt Gingrich was fourth. |
