News » Old Glory Honor Flight reaches milestone
Apr. 5, 2012 The northeast Wisconsin chapter of Old Glory Honor Flight is reaching a milestone today.
For the 12th time since 2009, Old Glory Honor Flight is sending a plane full of World War II veterans to Washington D.C. from the Outagamie County Regional Airport, for the day.
Old Glory Honor Flight president Drew MacDonald says it'll be their first flight of the year.
MacDonald says there are only about 200 World War II veterans on the waiting list right now, but he expects that list to grow in the coming weeks.
He says people can welcome the veterans back home this evening.
The plane is scheduled to land at 8:20 p.m., but Mac Donald recommends arriving around 7:30 p.m. |
