News » Fire danger leads to 'no burning' advisory

Apr. 6, 2012
Outagamie County's emergency management department is asking people to hold off on burning brush, or having campfires for the next two-to-three weeks.

Emergency management director Christina Muller says warm weather, low humidity, and wind make this the most dangerous time for spring wildfires in our area.  She says people should keep that in mind when they clean up their yard.

Muller says the rain we received earlier this week did little to dampen the fire danger.

She says cities, villages, and towns should consider putting burning bans in place, until the fire danger passes.
