News » Man told not to take girl, before abduction
Apr. 9, 2012 The former boyfriend of a Marinette County woman is behind bars in Arkansas, for abducting the woman's 10-year-old daughter.
Marinette County sheriff Jerry Sauve says the mother died recently, and the girl's aunt has legal custody of the girl. But he says the former boyfriend, Arlie Yarbrough, helped raise the girl for the last three years, and he felt he should have the girl.
Sauve says detectives warned Yarbrough not to take the girl, but he hung up on them and took off. The girl was missing since March 31, until they were found in Arkansas yesterday morning.
Sauve says the girl's aunt is going to pick her up today, and they're starting the extradition process for Yarbrough. |
