News » Flag Day Parade plans in place
Apr. 10, 2012 The longest-running Flag Day Parade will again follow its traditional route through parts of Appleton this year.
Organizers are announcing their plans for the June 9 event.
Parade Chairman Greg Otis says they're going back to the normal route, after the work on Wisconsin Avenue forced them to come up with a two-year detour.
The parade will start at 2 p.m., at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Oneida Street. It ends at College Avenue and Drew Street.
Otis says they're going to honor the U.S. Coast Guard this year. The theme will be "Honoring Traditions." |
