News » Appleton library planning for future
Apr. 10, 2012 Stakeholders in the Appleton public library are holding a series of forums this month, to talk about the future of the library, and the community in general.
The city has studied whether to build a new facility, or expand the existing one, but the project was put on hold more than a year ago.
Jan Quinlan is the executive director of the Appleton public library, and she says they're looking for input.
Quinlan says the way people use the library is constantly evolving, and it's becoming more of a gathering place, than just somewhere to go to check out books.
The eight "Community Conversations" start on Thursday, April 19 and they run through Thursday the 26.
Quinlan says they're holding them in locations throughout the city. |
