News » Wisconsin influential in Santorum decision
Apr. 11, 2012 Wisconsin's presidential primary may have some clout after all.
Some political observers thought Wisconsin's April 3 election came too late in the process to have much of an impact, but Lawrence University political science professor Arnold Shober says that wasn't the case this year.
He says it was likely a major reason Rick Santorum dropped out of the race for the GOP nomination yesterday.
Shober says the loss in Wisconsin likely led Santorum to realize that he was losing the blue collar vote, and he didn't have much of a chance of winning the nomination. |
