News » DNR releases location of CWD deer in NW Wis.
Apr. 12, 2012 The first wild deer in northern Wisconsin that tested positive for chronic wasting disease was just west of the city limits of Shell Lake.
The DNR is releasing the location of where a sheriff's deputy shot the doe in Washburn County, in northwest Wisconsin. The 3-1/2 year-old doe was on private land.
Before that deer, there weren't any positive tests for the deadly disease in wild deer, outside of the CWD zone in southern Wisconsin. |
