A fire caused heavy damage to a home in Freedom this morning.
Fire Chief Jeff Pollard says there were flames coming from the first floor of the two-story home when crews got there, and the fire spread to the second floor and the attic.
The house is on Highway N, near Lau Road.
Pollard says it was difficult to get it under control because it wasn't safe to have firefighters inside the house, and there were a number of void spaces.
Pollard says seven fire departments were on the scene.
There's an auto body shop in another building on the property. No one was home at the time of the fire.
