News » Magolski gets life without parole in N.L. murder
Apr. 13, 2012 There's no chance of parole for a New London man who killed his 77-year-old neighbor.
35-year-old Chad Magolski will spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2007 murder of James Park.
Waupaca County Judge Philip Kirk made that determination, after a jury convicted Magolski of first-degree intentional homicide last month. Kirk called Magolski "The Shawano Street butcher."
Prosecutors say Magolski stabbed Park about a dozen times, and stole money from the man. They say a $50 bill that Magolski gave his landlord had Park's DNA on it. They charged him with the crime about a year ago.
Park was dead for about a week before anyone found him in his apartment. |
