News » Churchill art exhibit opening at Trout Museum
Apr. 13, 2012 Three paintings by the leader of Great Britain during World War II are in downtown Appleton for the next few months.
The Trout Museum of Art is hosting "The Art of Sir Winston Churchill," featuring the former prime minister's work.
Executive director Tim Riley says many people may not know that Churchill considered himself a "pastime painter."
Riley says they also have paintings of Churchill by various artists. He says they're displaying the artwork of local veterans on the second floor of the museum.
The exhibit opens today, and runs through the end of July. |
