News » Group concerned about new tobacco products
Apr. 16, 2012 The state is getting tougher on new types of tobacco products.
Governor Walker signed a law recently that makes it illegal for adults to buy non-cigarette tobacco products for minors.
Allison Miller of the American Cancer Society says companies are selling "strips" and "orbs" in other states, and they're marketing them to kids. She says the move comes as youth tobacco rates are declining.
The governor put the new law on the books not long after a U.S. Surgeon General report called youth tobacco use a "childhood epidemic." |
