News » GAB puts 'fake Democrats' on recall ballots
Apr. 17, 2012 The so-called "fake Democrats" will be on the spring recall election ballots.
The Government Accountability Board unanimously certified the candidates in the races for governor, lieutenant governor, and four senate seats.
Attorney Jeremy Levinson wanted members to remove them, because they admitted their only reason for filing nomination papers is to force primaries in all six recalls. He says that amounts to election fraud.
But Republican Party attorney Joe Olson says party statements on nomination papers are not legally binding.
Democrats are considering a legal challenge to the GAB's decision. |
