News » Community read author visiting Fox Cities
Apr. 17, 2012 The author who wrote the book used for this year's Fox Cities Reads, a community reading event, is in the area this week to talk with the public.
Bill Strickland's book Make the Impossible Possible tells the story about how he grew up in a ghetto in Pittsburgh, and went on to become a board member for the National Endowment of the Arts, and a lecturer at Harvard.
Strickland says he hopes his book inspires people in the Fox Cities to create programs to help students who are struggling in our public schools. He says it's a tough project, but it can be done.
Strickland will be holding public question and answer sessions today, at the Menasha and Neenah libraries. He'll be at the libraries in Little Chute and Appleton tomorrow. |
