Taxpayers had until yesterday to file their income tax returns,  and the Appleton post office was prepared for the last-minute rush.
Diana Klapperich is in charge of the office, and she says they had all of their windows open until 6 p.m. yesterday. She says it's the second-busiest time of the year, behind the Christmas season.
Klapperich says it was actually busier on Monday...than in the hours leading up to the deadline yesterday. She says the parking lot was full all day, and they had lines out the door. |
