Some colleges are using foreign recruiters to attract more international students, but two local schools say word-of-mouth recommendations are still their most effective way.
Lawrence University international student recruiter Nicole Buenzli says that's how they get most of their international students, but she also makes trips to foreign countries.
UW-Oshkosh international education director Jenna Graff says they work, on a very limited basis, with foreign recruiters, but current and former international students are their biggest selling point.
