News » Outagamie Co. holding own tornado drill

Apr. 19, 2012
The outdoor warning sirens already sounded once today, but they'll go off again this evening, in Outagamie County.

The county's emergency management department is holding a second tornado drill, at 6:45 p.m.

Deputy director Steve Hansel says they've heard good feedback from the community about it, and it gives families a chance to practice with their children, at home.

Hansel says companies can do the same with their second-shift workers.

There was a statewide tornado drill earlier this afternoon. They're part of Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week.
